Word to the wise: avoid a middleman (Priceline, etc.) when renting a car. You'll thank yourself.
Aside from that, getting to Sixt and grabbing a rental was nearly pain-free. CJ is incredible at his job and empathetic when it comes to less than ideal situations, which he did when he took the time to make sure I could get my rental and get on the road. Mine was a situation I could've avoided, but that didn't bother him, and we were able to find a great solution.
Since it was late on a Saturday, I was afraid there would be limited availability and that turned out to be the case, naturally. I reserved a compact and when there weren't any, CJ and his coworker (whose name I didn't catch) set me up with the last car available, a minivan, at no additional cost. He also gave full disclosure that a compact would be available the next day and that I could trade it out easily if I wanted to. I felt like CJ cared and genuinely wanted to help me out, even at 11pm on a Saturday, which he should be commended for.
The minivan I got was in pristine condition and I got on the road without any further issues. Without CJ and co., I would've been sleeping on a bench in the airport for the night. Thanks for the great job!
