Good to know when renting in Greece
One-way rentals between mainland SIXT locations is allowed with certain tariffs. A fee may apply. It is not allowed to do one-way rentals between the Greek islands or to surrounding countries.
Cross-border rentals are not allowed. You can take your rental on a ferry between the Greek islands, but you lose all vehicle protections on the ferry. Ask when picking up your vehicle for other protection options.
The minimum age for car rental in Greece is 21. Renters under 23 will be charged an underage driver fee. Some rental car categories have a higher minimum age up to 28.
All major credit cards are accepted, as well as debit cards linked to Visa or Mastercard. For some car categories, you will need to present 2 credit or debit cards.
