The 5 stars are ONLY FOR THE STAFF AT ALEXANDRIA!!! They are kind, courteous, efficient, and helpful. I left something in the cab of the truck and after speaking directly with the staff there by phone [hint: Google SixT Alexandria for direct number- DO NOT call the National ‘help’ line] Ahmed took time to check lost property, speak to the cleaning crew (no luck) but promised to call once the truck was returned that evening. I didn’t hear that day so I assumed it was lost. Bright and early (as soon as they opened) the next day, Ahmed called - it was found!! He arranged to put it in lost property and I may collect at my convenience.
However, the website!!! One (1) to Zero (0) stars!!! Nowhere, I mean NOWHERE, on the site does it warn you that there is no parking available on site or within at least 2km. Should warn so that people can make other arrangements.
Perhaps SixT/NRMA could partner with a ride share company to offer a voucher so that people can get to the site. I picked up an hour late as I spent that time driving around and around and around in a vain attempt to find legal parking!
TL:DR Staff at Alexandria are wonderful (especially Ahmed): Avoid the National call centre AND don’t drive by yourself to the site!
